After an inspiring shopping outing on Sunday with Eve, we returned with fresh ideas, and great new treasures. We started at East Nashville's Walden Artisan Market, where we discovered several local Etsians selling their wares. Loved the jewelry of HerzAusGlas.
Im a sucker for great design and especially when it combines aesthetic artistry with a dynamic twist. Great art needs the unexpected- that thing which turns you for a loop. Here is a fabulous artist/designer creating in such a manner for the prestigous Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg.
After hearing about Nashville, TN based, Thistle Farms for several years, I stopped in Whole Body over the weekend and discovered their natural based beauty products for myself. Not only are the products wonderfully lush, fragrant and made from natural resources, the story (and people) behind the products is the true treasure of each purchase. Today marks my first year in the blogging community. I feel as though I've come along way since this day last year. As you can see I didn't know how to upload photos at the time, however much inspiration came from the Country Living Magazine's 2008 Women Entrepreneurs event. It spawned the belief in myself to start a new business. Here's to continuing new beginnings!
Here in Nashville, Spring is trying so hard to poke through the wintery wetness. Although back to rain clouds and lower temps today, we enjoyed Spring's seduction with golden light and 70 degree temps the past few days. During that time her first buds appeared nearly overnight. I went for a walk at Edwin Warner State park and discovered that Daffodils and Forsythia were the first bolts of color pushing thru the dead leaves.

Last night I was at a birthday party of a dear friend held in the home of Nashville artist, Kristi Hargrove. Although it was not the first time at her home, I was captivated by Kristi's design sensibility and ability to blend her contemporary art collection seamlessly into her lovely habitat.
