Wondering how to enjoy tea in the summer other than iced? How about using those wintertime tea tins as vases for all your pretty wildflower arrangements? Tea tins have become my newest gathering obsession and beginnings of a collection! I'll have to take some photos of my own. (when i have some time) until then breath in the floral goodness of these fav images.
My inspiration comes from other artists who live true to themselves and it is revealed in their body of work. Today, allow me to share my latest inspiration, the photography of Tricia McKellar. I found Tricia onflickr. And her ethereal photos speak to another time and place. They are transportive and meditative. She sells prints of all of these and more at her etsy shop.
It's been 4 years since I was in California and my husband and I have been longing for another trip. However, in this economy, I'm not sure if it is in our future this year, so for now, Im just dreaming. And in my dreams, I have packed my virtual wardrobe, courtesy of ModCloth.

Here are two companies I stumbled upon recently that I can not believe I never knew about! The British company Saltwater is the work of chief designer, Laura Watson. Her Spring/Summer 09 collection is inspired by the American Deep South (yeah, that's me) with white washed prints, soft cottons and indigo dyed linens. Bumblesea is the online jewelry boutique and craftsmanship of Jennifer Morris, based out of Champaign-Urbana, IL. Each piece is crafted from silver, clay, crystals, gemstones, and finished off with pigments and powdered minerals. This collection features inspiration from the sea. Perfect for summer dressing.
