Hello dear friends! Happy Tuesday! Today we have a home inspection and so starts the process of selling our current home and purchasing another. I hadn't let myself dream much until we found a house this weekend. I knew my color palette would be changing from old house to new, but that was it. So here are a few photos that I have gathered over the weekend that are inspiring ideas for my new abode. Im transitioning from warm golds and greens to a cooler palette. I can't wait to have a little craft space to call my own (like the first photo). Im also transitioning to a more modern streamlined affect. Do you have any thoughts or brainstorms for my new design dilemma?
FYI: I will be posting my usual Hunting and Gathering post later today.

love the aqua color- you should definitely start with a color you love and then add little accents and lovely objects that coordinate. pretty inspiration pics!

Love the inspirational pictures! we might also be moving within the next 6 months and I will also start dreaming and that is why I am so with you! Our colour palette will change a bit into lighter and softer and we want to make more use of less space. So i am planning again a crafting cupboard and sideboard in the kitchen/dining room like we had in Mexico. So then I will be able to craft again in between because it is not so easy to leave household and family behind and shut yourself up in a craftroom. And there shall be like in your case a secretary as a beautiful piece of furniture in the living room that will hide the daily documentary and paper stuff because again: my husband and me don't like to sit in a seperate room and do tiny daily chores. Much more fun to integrate it into daily family life while children are playing gameboards and i can knit in between. it is always so exiting to change houses and re-invent one's style of living. My goal is to also streamline and minimalize everything a bit and just to reserve special walls and nooks and corners for changing displays of whimsy and colour. I cannot wait what you will come up with and will be inspired by the pictures you chose- for sure!
hurray for the new house and thank you for letting us take part in the process!

Heather, first of all, the last picture with those lovely shades of aqua just made my day, so thank you :)
I know what you mean about making the transition to a cooler palette, when your house has been warmed up by golden shades for too long, there's something inside ones conscience that starts asking for a fresh start, I think it will make you feel right at home from the start and that's what we all want when we move into a new space. I know you will do a wonderful job as your taste is impeccable, but you'd better post pictures of your befores and afters!!! ; ) happy tuesday to you too!

Congrats!!! We just closed and moved into our house too so I am totally sharing your excitement! We are still living amongst boxes but should get all unpacked this week :]
I'm with ya - our color palette is totally changing... right now it is reds and blacks and very Asian oriented, but I am moving towards teals and sea foam and corals :] I can't wait and I'm sure you can't either :]

we are so excited for y'all! (Sam and I, not the royal we) Can't wait to come visit and see the new place you will surely make breathtakingly beautiful. These inspiration images are lovely in their cool, crisp, clean atmosphere...perfect for a fresh start. Next time i see you in town, i think I'll find you swimming in your tide pool home (to reference a post from many moons back) with coral accents, of course...

Thank you all for your precious words. They brought tears to my eyes. Even though I have never seen some of you, I feel as though I know you! And it touches me to hear your stories too! Moline, I love your thoughts on incorporating functional design into all rooms of a home to make it become a part of the family. Macy, all the best to you and your new digs too! Elizabeth, you are always a light on the path of my soul. Thank you!! As a gift to you, I will post some before and after pics!!

Congrats on the new house! I love all of the inspiration photos you've posted. I just painted my office a cool, ocean blue and these are really helpful in deciding how to continue decorating. You have such great taste, I can't wait to see how you furnish + decorate your new home. I know it will be beautiful!

I love blue, and am especially loving the particular blues in the pictures. I think it looks lovely.
