GooD MorninG! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was full of the joys of new home ownership: unpacking, painting walls, setting up furniture and purchasing new flowers for the yard. I am so happy in my new home. It seems to sing to me every morning, as clear as the birds chirping in the woods behind me. And I am singing back. I bought these beautiful raspberry pink impatiens for the flower beds and they inspired today's pink post. Splashes of pink offer a dose of romance, joy and whimsy. I would like to think that pink has the power to transcend seasons and is not limited to spring and summer. What do you think? How do you like to use pink? I would love to hear from you!

I am with you- colors need to get past these labels of "just for spring or just for fall" -Its kind of like "no wearing white jeans after labor day!!! Who listens to that stuff? Pink is amazing all year around!!! Gorgeous photographs Heather!

Sounds like you are having fun setting up your new home! I just bought some pink roses for myself this weekend. I bought a new pitcher/vase and just thought they would look so pretty (and they do!). Thanks for sharing these lovely images with us!

Thank you for all these lovely photos today. They are inspiring.
I remember the excitement of setting up a new house. So many fun things to do and pick out. =)
This weekend we planted lots of flowers, because in the fall I try to hit up the sales and get things in the ground with lots of compost for the next summer. We also watched some movies, had brunch outside, did lots of chatting. It was a nice weekend.

Great rooms.
i'm all about pink transcending seasons, not that i've ever been very good at following fashion rules anyway. another label i'd love to break is the whole "pink is for girls" thing. i am personally taking it upon myself to be a catalyst in the lives of men in my life to embrace their love of pink.(it's good to have a mission :) it's a good thing my husband doesn't hold that color in contempt, but so many men I know do! I'm saddened by what they are missing out on.
So glad to hear the new home is inspiring you!

Great post! I have always loved pink, and I love the idea this post gives of little (and sometimes dramatic) pops of pink. So lovely!

Congratulations on moving into your new home. Sounds wonderful. I love the pictures you have shown above. It's just enough pink to make it pretty. Pink is one of my favorite colors. I add it in small doses around the house. I like bright spots of pink that pop. I would like to add more, but I don't want my husband to feel like the place is too girly.

I agree, I love pink all year round. All the best with settling in to your new house. How exciting! Love the third pic of the bedroom interior. I can't stop looking at it! Wini xo
