Its a lovely crisp fall day today, my first day back in Nashville and I have been imagining this change of seasons and thinking about transitioning from summer to winter. In the process I have collected these images of rooms that mix both warm and cool tones and seem to say seasonal transition to me. How do you transition from season to season? New throw pillows or curtains, flowers or colorful accessories perhaps? I'd love to hear your ideas!

Beautiful, colorful rooms. Love them! Hope you're doing well, Heather. :)

I just changed my white slip covers on my dining room chairs to grey last night and I thought, yes this is the sign of Fall :) But I'll admit, the real reason I changed them was because my kitty cat had gotten one of them dirty! But I do love changing slipcovers and pillow covers with the season!

Such beautiful photos! I don't change much around the house...in LA the season change is subtle...it seems to be more about a wardrobe update...I miss Fall -I have to go home to Canada for that!

I love fall, it is my second favorite season after spring. It's a time to get all cozy and snuggle up by the fire. I love all the outside colors as well. I have pillows for the spring-summer season and pillows for the fall-winter season for my sofa and I change out a few of the decor items on my mantle. I'd also like to change the covers on my dining room chairs and my couch as well. I'm thinking about buying a new grey cover for my creamey white ikea sofa.
