Have you ever dreamt in all white? (even if it is a little impractical- i can hardly imagine my dog in these spaces) But I do dream in white. But I have a secret love affair with color and so I would need some punches here and there. And I love the ease of toss pillows. So here are a few rooms in that vein. My favorite is the second image. Spicy yet feminine. And I would throw in some of these  pillows from Print Fresh to go along even though these were from a couple of years ago! How about you? How do you feel about toss pillows? Any favorite brands I should watch for as I go shopping next week??

Gathering Inspiration

 

 

Hello dear friends! Today I am feeling excited about the adventure that awaits me in the form of five new design magazines from Australia.  Are you looking for a sure fire way to get some inspiration for your blogs, business or life? How about a magazine swap? A few weeks ago I emailed Marie Nichols to see if she would be interested in doing a swap with me. And she said yes! She is such a dear person and graciously crammed a mailer full of the latest, hot of the presses Australian design magazines. I'm amazed at how thick they are compared to our scrawnier versions (Elle Decor, Country Living, House Beautiful) These things could be books! But the possibilities of blog land are really endless. Thanks to gracious online friends we can share not only our great finds, but our hearts too! Thank you Marie!

Good morning glories! How are you today? Its already been a bit of a stressful week for me, as we prepare to be gone all next week for a little Spring Break vacation. But I am brought peace through beauty and the beauty of nature. I have held on to these images from photographer and stylist Matthew Mead for a special day! His style is so clean and fragrant. I feel as though I can smell these gorgeous blooms right now. Have you seen the new publication Flea Market Style? Matthew is a stylist and co-editor. And I am absolutely smitten with its beautiful images. Hope are blessed today with peace and beauty!

Good Monday Morning! Another week has dawned. How was your weekend?? Are you feeling rested? These images helped me feel like I could slowly transition from weekend to work week. They feel like a beautiful princess that just rolled out of bed. She 's a little disheveled and slightly imperfect, but still gorgeous! This Richmond road home featured on 1st option made me immediately think of my friend and fellow blogger, Kristie Barnett of Making Arrangements. She is able to capture this style dichotomy beautifully. Romantic, Nostalgic, Yet quirky and not too precious. Its a little glam (I mean , THERE IS A DISCO BALL IN THE LIVING ROOM) and a little cottagey, a little flea market, a little french boudoir! As I try to define my own style more, this helps me feel like its ok to be a bit of an eclectic mix. and let my quirky collections shine like these: just stacking up books on the mantle (and incorporating the musical instruments into the design) -check out the cream drum set!! So how bout you?? Do you feel comfortable in your design style? If so, how would you describe it??

Happy Friday dears!! WoW! March is nearly over! Spring is just peeking around the corner and there are fewer things that excite me more, except maybe seeing women who collaborate creatively! Not only are these women of Ink & Spindle working together to create beautiful, hand printed textiles, but they nurture one another in the process fueled with a passion for art and design. So which style are you more drawn to? Both of these Interior Design firms intrigue me for different reasons. I think I could live more in the  Design Lines spaces (the top 4 images) BUT really love the funky spunk of the bottom images from Sixx Design. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Omg! I died and went to photo heaven. I am absolutely in LOVE with this Flickr Group, Things I Love Thursdays. How fun! Isn't that first collage a beautiful dream vacation in your mind and the third image is a collection from Decor8's March Interior Styling group. (So I must confess, can anyone help me figure out how to make collages like this on Flick??) I wanted to make my own ,but can't figure it out. :( Waaah!

Do you ever fantasize about places which you have never been?? Well, I have long been dreaming of visiting a beach in Portugal ,but its been especially recent after seeing this. And the colors of the sea have been whispering in my ears as I stroll on nature walks and feel the sunshine at my back : Orchid and Persimmon-  sea and sky meeting at dusk. So what about you?
