Thank you friends for your kind words, your continued support and for just taking time to hang with me here. This week feels like a dream, a walk in slow motion, adjusting the eyes. (not to mention the sketchy internet connection). My sister came back with me from Texas to stay for a couple of weeks. I'm hovering in a crossroads of desire to make this a fun trip for her and work on my own future plans....but I am not fully recovered from our whirlwind trip.
My brain has been a bit dried up like a raisin and inspiration drained.( not to mention the fact that I am trying a new diet for health purposes that excludes caffeine, sugar, dairy and gluten. OMG! Its hard. I miss my morning black tea!
So... blah, blah, blah. Here is my tribute post to my favorite color this year. A color of controversy and situated between desire and fear. We don't want to resurrect our mother's decorating mistakes of the 80's but long for a world of soft, dreamy sun-kissed pleasure. You may remember my original peach post. I think we have come a long way this year to embracing this pretty pastel with new arms in design, art, decor, fashion, etc.. Have you been aware of the power of peach this year? What is your gut reaction? Love or Loathe?
I have always loved peach, since 5th grade! You can see how I have used it as my theme color in my home and work this year.
Thank you Peach for inspiring me in 2010! What has been your color muse this year???

Peach is a beautiful color! I like it as well. In 2010 I was loving yellow so much!
Happy new year!

I love these shades of peach and the way you used it in your home! My mom called it "dusty rose" and it looked nothing like this! Thank goodness, right? That is a very hard adjustment for your new health regime. It was so hard when I realized I was lactose intolerant almost ten years ago. I missed the ice cream the most! But after a while I got used to living without it and don't really notice it anymore. You, however, do not have a whole lot left to eat! I really do wish you the absolute best as you make this big change. It will be worth it if you feel better! Hugs and wishes for a Happy 2011!

Hi Heather
Happy new years eve
I never looked at peach like that, but I guess it's a hard colour to work with when you stop to think about it.
I do like these photos though they are v dreamy
I would prefer more pink tone to my peach if I were to have a free choice.
A peachy pink. ;)
Here's to another great year of blogging

Oh Heather, what a dream start to 2011. Its also the starting point of my favorite cocktail, the Bellini (which I prefer with white peach juice). My favorite color is turquoise, the color compliment to your peachy shades. Happy New Year!

We are sharing the same diet! Well, I am almost there. I kicked the sugar and caffeine and am working on gluten this week and then dairy is next. That will be the hardest. I mentioned your blog in a interview. Visit my blog for the link. Take good care and if you have any questions or need support, I am here! I just started reading Spontaneous Healing by Andrew Weil, M.D. It gives me hope.

Thanks Stephanie. That sounds like a great book. You probably did the smart thing by tapering out your dietary reductions. I tried to quit all at once (sorta). I still have a little dairy since i am an ex-vegetarian and need yogurt for pro-biotics. i just discovered some great gluten free blogs if you are interested:
