Good Saturday Morning! I can't think of a better way to start a sleepy Saturday other than with a puffy Bismarck. I was introduced to the Bismarck by our family friend Maggie, via the Silver Palate Cookbook. It is a wonderful egg/puff pastry dish made even more excellent with fresh squeezed lime juice and a sprinkling of powdered sugar.
It is lovely paired with my new favorite tea, Earl Grey's Lady Violet. This tea is a lighter First Flush Darjeeling with subtle citrus-fresh, floral notes. Highly recommended!
It is good to have days off again. I feel like a new person and on the agenda this weekend is to finally put the finishing touches on my office/studio space, such as hanging the vintage mirror purchased last week, as well as some other art pieces. There will be photos posted soon of the completed product, but until then here are some candid morning shots of the chair I drug in this morning in order to have tea by the window.
So much for my quiet, cushy little spot. I never seem to get a seat in edgewise around here.
So cozy... may I join you from breakfast? I see that you are reading the book "Captivating". I actually just started reading it yesterday.
