Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Are you in celebration mode yet? I know I am as I prepare for our first ever Holiday Open House this coming Saturday. I've fantasized this event in my head for nearly a month now, and always imagine it as a scene from Mad Men, (minus the smoking and cheating husbands). But more in terms of style- a 1950's inspired soiree. My grandmother handed down some of her vintage holiday aprons that I plan to don for the party along with layers of costume jewelry and maybe a sparkly top. So in the spirit of my party, I've put together some favorite looks from vintage Etsy sellers. So what about you? Would you wear vintage this season for your festivities??

I love vintage for the holidays! It's the perfect time of year for getting dolled up and wearing something extra special. I really love the gold cardigan above - I don't think I'd be able to save that one for a holiday. I'd wear it often!

i'll take any any excuse to wear vintage! i'm still hoping that someday it will be "in" to wear vintage aprons over jeans or skirts out in public - so far i've only been brave enough to wear them at my own parties! maybe i should just be a little bolder . . .

I love your vintage look and the colors you have pulled together here. I like the modern romance - vintage style added to your blog header too. I think it's just right for your blog.
