Thinking Green for Spring

With Easter and Earth Day upon us this week, I have had "green" on my mind. I love its many hues from its yellowy notes to its teal counterparts. But most of all I love its symbolic power as a color of healing, growth, renewal, awakening. "May all things become new again" it seems to remind us of our own hope. Our own call toward starting fresh! 

And speaking of Earth Day, why not participate by shopping with me?? Both of my shops, Gathering Vintage and Gathering Spriggs are eco-conscious featuring upcycled handmades and vintage housewares as well as recycled materials for shipping.

A Rosy Outlook

 

Is it Friday already? Another week past! Wow. This one has been a whirlwind for me. Some ups and downs but ending on a rosy note. :) 

Thank you for your amazing love and support with me and for me on this road toward physical healing. Your warm embrace this week has buoyed my spirits , uplifted my heart and brought new hope for tomorrow. ... 

(was that a tear?.... i am so moved by our fellowship here) 

So speaking of tomorrow, you will find me in the GS booth at the Antique and Artisan Market here in Nashville where a local antique store has invited artists into their space for a new kind of collaboration. Hopefully I will take plenty of pics of my booth... im mostly excited to be styling my little corner. You can see a sneak peak above..

Pastels that Pop!

 

Hello Lovelies! Its Tuesday and another day for colorful inspiration. This week I have been thinking about pastels, seeing pastels, enjoying pastel flavored treasuries on Etsy.  All the while wondering if there is a way to pack a little more punch with pastels or at least stray from the traditional Easter M&M's palette. I am loving pastels with a pop of florescent yellow or even coral. Thinking back to J Crew Spring 09 ...

Oh how I would love to create a mood board for you on this theme but alas its a busy week here at GS with multiple painting projects, and an Artisan/Antiques Market fast approaching this weekend. (where I will have a booth... hopefully if I can get myself pulled together). Maybe someday soon.

A Dose of Sunshine

 

Looking for a spot of sunshine? How about introducing a touch of yellow in your life? I know its St. Patricks Day this week but I cant stop imagining golden hues. Maybe it is the touches of blooming forsythia against the gray hillsides that has me inspired. I don't typically wear yellow but do like touches of it in accessories. Little rays of light.

Welcome March: Mint + Magenta

March: a season between.  Seems like we have collectively been craving the freshness of mint in our palette this month. Its such a beautiful crisp, careful color... not quite green and not quite ready for the pulsing shades of summertime aqua.  Just a beautiful between.

Friends! Greetings from the MidWest. Its been a whirlwind trip but the last few days with my sister and nephew have been little bites of heaven for my soul.  Unfortunately the internet connection has been poor and time for blogging minimal leaving me to feel so out of touch from you. But this unplugged time has given me moments for brainstorming, composing, journaling, connecting with my sister (my best friend) and absorbing life around me. Thank you for your continued love. Here are some calming images that make me want to go home and perform a bedroom makeover.
