Happy Friday, all! Hope you enjoy your day with eyes looking forward to a restful weekend. I know I am. :) And I believe it was that spirit that prompted me to post about this very fun, colorful, candy coated online children's boutique based out of Sydney: Little Pinwheel. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever done a post on children's clothing because I don't have kids myself, but I love how each of these items could be translated into a grown up world. I mean, come on, don't you ever fantasize about wearing a pink tulle petticoat?? And actually, I never thought I would say this but I really miss those summer jumpers that tied at the shoulders. Of course I was a very girly girl. Can you tell from these images? lol. Im feeling nostalgic. So fun. How about you? Can you find inspiration from a child's perspective?

Hello lovelies! How is your day going so far? I know I need a break for some beauty with you! Ever since my Peach post (that caused a bit of a stir), I can't stop noticing the trend of Peach sneaking back into our cultural oeuvre. Even though its been the wicked step sister of Pink and the lesser version of coral I think I am ready to embrace peach, you know, try her out again. My sister insists that I divulge to you that my fantasy wedding colors at 12 years old were Peach and Teal. Lol! Can you believe that! But needless to say I have had a thing for peach ever since Peaches and Cream Barbie. So maybe I can do a peach do over this Spring. How about you? Are you able to embrace a gentle warm tones amidst all the current gushing over blue?

Good Monday Morning! Can you believe it is the start of another week? It felt like Spring here in Nashville this weekend. Sunny, warm, breezy and the birds were singing. It definitely put me in the mood for spring. Then I paged through the new Jcrew catalogue and I just adore their Spring color palette. Pale neutrals, lady like nudes paired with unexpected pops of color. So I found a few rooms to match their aesthetic. So how was your weekend? Are you excited for the season of new life to come? Fashion Week's Runway Looks for the Home

 

 

 

Hello dear friends! How is your Thursday going?? Can you believe we are almost near the end of the week? Where does the time go? Well, here in the US its fashion week and I love to view the latest trends coming up for fall. However, this time around I have found alot of the new styles to be a little more rocker chic, a lot of black, but still with lovely ruffles and feathers and floral adornments. So it was a little challenging to find soft pastels to feature here in girly land! Lol! But here are some of my favorite outfits paired with rooms to match. I was inspired by Anne at the city sage, to do a little pairing for you after seeing her post on pairing rooms with outfits from the new Anthropologie catalogue. It is a fun game. Dont you think? Happy Tuesday! Its a new day AND its Fashion Week!! What better way to start thinking ahead than by starting with a somewhat forgotten room of the house. Poor closets. Some are small , some are large, some new , some old. Why not give it a little makeover. (even if it is a mini one.) A little paint or even paper,( gasp!) could go a long way. One of my favorite things to do in my closet is organize by color, so I have a little rainbow theme just with the clothes themselves. Maybe you could design it to go with your new wardrobe! So when you win a $5000 fashion shopping spree , your closet will be ready to do its job!
