Personally, I have always been attracted to the small things in life... literally miniature items. My artwork is small, my teacups dainty, photo frames within inches and I love a super ultra fine tipped ink pen. So today I come to you with a creative invitation to share the little things in your life that are dear to your heart. Happy Monday dear readers! A new week has dawned for me and I am returning back to work this week after a several week hiatus from spraining my ankle. School starts this week and my husband returns to teaching.... September is upon us and I feel the changes in the air creeping up. Exciting changes. Fresh renewal. I love when the seasons are on the cusp of change and you say goodbye and hello all at once. These images from Nicholas Lawn felt like the perfect fit for such a transition. I especially love the nostalgic  vibe in these shoots. So what about you? Are you transitioning too? Do you feel change in the air?

I am constantly amazed how wonderfully talented so many women in the world today are especially when it comes to creating gorgeous photographs. (not an easy task). I realized early on that photography was not my calling so I will stick to paint brushes but deeply admire these talented women who create beauty with a lens.

All Things Bright and Beautiful

A new day has dawned and I am feeling like a new chapter in my life is approaching. These images by Anna Hern are so light and airy and offer up freshness and grace like a clean slate . Beautiful clean white paired with these simple touches of lime green give me a zest for life. All things are possible.. wildly hopeful.

Good Morning and Happy New Week! After a whrilwind of work related projects this weekend, I am actually glad its monday. And I am looking forward to this week, because it means creative labor not limited to refinishing furniture. (my day job). Anyway, I have been thinking about Romance over the weekend.. you know that exciting mystery which delves into the fantastical and somewhat fairytale. The pieces of life that pulls at our heart strings. For me its simple beauties. A single flower bloom beginning to open, an unexpected gesture from a friend or loved one, a sunrise, or even a deep long cleansing breath. And then exhale with gratitude. So today I am full of thanks for those simple graces that lead me into The Divine Romance.

Its going to be a work from home week this week so I will have more time to spend with you as well as update the Summer Sale over at Gathering Vintage, create some more art, fill my home with beauty, and spend time with friends.. Dear friends, Hello. How is your day today?  Honestly I am at a loss for words today. I was up late last night pondering some message of inspiration and greatness but I feel a little disconnected today so I will leave you with these poetic images from Zimmer Kuche Kabinett. This blog is a little allusive to me even with Google tranlate. Do you know anything about the author and their beautiful photography? Maybe sometimes things are better left unsaid and mysterious.
