Happy Friday!!!!!! Yes. Its really here! Can you believe it! Taxes are done, Spring has dawned and life is good. Im on my way out the door to visit a new shop in a little town outside of Nashville that might be consigning some our Gathering Spriggs artwork! And as a future shop owner myself it got me thinking about all the hidden treasures that lie on the outskirts ... small shops with beautiful wares beckoning the off the beaten path traveler. And I came across, The Vintage Rose, one such shop tucked away in the wilds of Tasmania. Have any of you ever been to Tasmania??? I had no idea it was a lovely little place for vacationers and tourists until I read Australian Country Style (March issue). Wow! This is a locale on the globe I never would have thought existed. But Im broadening my horizons with technology. Thanks world wide web for bringing things on the other side of the world closer to home!

Don't wake me up from this beautiful dream I'm having. ....
Its a light filled room. so clean and ethereal with large picture windows opening up to an English garden in full bloom. Its cool but sunny, the kettle is on and the day is beautiful and lazy and my home is filled with gorgeous new finds from Graham and Green. Won't you come over for a spot of tea, some scones, fresh flowers from the garden and restful afternoon?? ( I pulled up a Moroccan pouf just for you).

Good Monday Morning to you dears! I am so happy to be back here with you sharing a cup of tea and musings! How was your weekend?? Did you get to enjoy some of the fabulous sunshine?? After a rainy, cold week in Chicago it was a joy to be back home in nearly 80 degree temps! So after a week of technical difficulties, I am happy to return to share with you some of my Chicago finds. P.O.S.H was on my to do list this trip and it was nothing short of a visual dessert to finish off the trip- filled to the brim with dishware, linens, and hotel silver. Hope you enjoy this lovely little River North area shop as much as I did. (I just recently started collecting vintage maps and I fell in love with their treatment of them in the first image!)

Happy Thursday ! Happy Easter and Happy Passover! Blessing to you all. Today will be my last blog posting for the long holiday weekend but will be back on Monday. I am starting my Spring Break on Monday but will have some special guest bloggers and fun things for you all next week. So I leave you with my Shop Around the Corner this week, Bountiful. This beautiful shop in Venice, California has it all! I hope to go someday because if it is anything like the images on their website, it will be paradise. I especially like their China Closet section where many of these images came from. Aren't they wonderful inspiration for your holiday table?? I love the abundance of flowers and bright white beachy tones.

Ok. so not only that but this stellar trio also helps support Carbon Neutral and keeps a candid list of their everyday studio practices that help lower emissions and create an ethical studio practice. Greetings dears!! So, I stumbled upon this adorable little company called String, and come to find out Ikea is not the only fabulous design and storage company to come out of Sweden! String provides beauty and function in its meticulously designed shelving systems. I love how neat and organized everything is. Click here for pics of customers homes who have used the Strings systems. My fav is the pocket string in the first three photos above. (ok, and i heart the wallpaper backgrounds too!)So cute! Happy Friday!! Can you believe it! Another week has passed and its already mid -March! Oh,my! I have been super busy the past couple of weeks and it is such a refreshment for me to come here and sip my tea with you in the mornings. Today, I would love to share with you, dear friends, a blog that I came across recently that is the handiwork of Leigh. She travels a lot all over the US and abroad. She takes photographs and documents her travels, the shops she enjoys and her own crafts. She recently moved to London so keep checking Found, Now Home for beautiful documentation of the city! I probably spent two hours last night just perusing through her posts on shops, located in the sidebar. If you are planning to a trip to London, San Francisco or Atlanta, Leigh has THE BEST recommendations. And of course, to my delight many of them are antiques, vintage or even flea markets. Hope you enjoy this feast for the eyes.!

Happy Friday!! Ok, Im smitten. Today's Shop Around the Corner makes me feel like I died and went to heaven. English roses, chintz, Edwardian inspired fashion, ruffles, oh my! the London shop Cabbages and Roses has it all.
